Tailored Practice Development Circles
Social circles (equivalent to Group Coaching/Supervision) developing and embedding new practices
Service Description
Social reflections on the pragmatic deployment of Change are an important part of the learning process and its adoption. In fact, according to adult development theories, learning from practical experience is potentially more relevant than learning from theory for some people. We don't believe we should argue for one or the other because we believe both are essential and complementary. This is why our training cohorts package an associated reflection circle programme as a standard. It is possible to run such circles without the need for more formal training, as they enable the consolidation of knowledge already present and create intentionality of application. The programmes frame some essential education packaged as prompts to stimulate reflection. This is a highly effective way to explore new areas while leaving the processing to the participants, enhancing knowledge retention. The service can use ready-made circles (please see other services) for systemic leadership, Agile collaborative practices, coaching culture, and the development of leadership skills with software engineers. Those ready-made programmes are ready to deploy in a set format. This offering is designed to tailor circles to your specific situation and needs. We would review your challenges and design the topics and experience to accommodate them. Format of the Service: - Upon signing up for the service, we will discuss and review the challenges you are looking to address, - We'll design an arch of Practice Development Circle for your challenge and get validation from you, - We'll discuss the cohort to onboard, paying attention to keeping it diverse across the business, - We'll run an introduction session setting up the collaborative alliance and framing the topics and will ask people to elect to take on "hot seats", i.e. when they will be bringing topics for discussion, - We'll then run six sessions using our techniques of circle facilitation, - The last session will also include a wrap. If you do not have the scale for operating circles of your own, please enquire as we can look to combine non-competitive businesses with shared circles and/or bulk onboard you on a public runs of such circles.
Cancellation Policy
This booking is to establish the basis for the engagement of interest. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your needs and the suitability of the engagement. We will then produce a quote to proceed with the engagement. We will also schedule the engagement based on availability. This is especially important for multi-day engagements (e.g., strategy off-site, change increment design, etc.) or those that must be on a specific day (e.g., presentations). Best to talk early to avoid disappointment.
