This course is a specialist course for Professional Coaches looking to facilitate organisational change with specialist coaching approaches and techniques


20-hour curriculum offering generative coaching approaches in change management (currently applying for CCEUs)

The Challenge:

If the past two decades of Agile and Digital change are anything to learn a lesson from, it is that classic change management approaches don't work for the modern complex challenges of businesses. Change is no longer about regimenting people to work in a set way. In the age of knowledge work, change is about reconnecting people with knowledge and thinking individually and collaboratively. Teams are not just about execution; they are also here to contribute to the decisions and the journey. So, for the right change, we also must change the classic approaches to it!

Training Objectives:

In this landscape, Agendashift offers a refreshing approach that does not look to template what the change should be but offers dialogic and generative patterns to facilitate people to design the change.

As the people collaboratively work through those patterns, they develop the solutions for their business and the skills to lead the change. Those skills are a key part of the change and build the resulting business they will become.

For coaches, this training offers a compliant and compatible approach to change in keeping with coaching competencies and modalities. Agendashift patterns bring generative images (equivalent to metaphors) and generative questions (or powerful questions) in structured exercises that stimulate the teams to own and shape their change. Agendashift is one of the few frameworks that combine a coaching approach with change, and it is a must for professional coaches who want to work in organisational change.

Note - We are currently looking to qualify this training with CCEUs (Continued Coach Education Units) with the ICF (International Coaching Federation).

Training Outcomes:

This course is for Leaders, Change Agents and Professional Coaches. As a result of this course, they would: 

  • Take a new perspective on approaching change, 

  • Change stance in approaching change, 

  • See a new path to change, leaving behind classic approaches that impose a method or a model and moving to modern approaches where people co-design the change, 

  • Learn new patterns to apply this in practice, 

  • Develop new perspectives and skills by approaching strategy, recognising obstacles, leading from outcomes and using Clean Language in Leadership.

The training puts into practice Agendashift's IdOO (Ideal-Obstacles-Outcomes) pattern in the context of Change and Strategy:

  • Recognise the need for bringing coaching competencies into change,

  • Generative images for Change and Strategy,

  • Setting context,

  • IdOO - Ideal, Obstacles, Outcomes,

  • Clear questions going from Obstacles to Outcomes,

  • OKRs,

  • 3 Ms - Meaning, Measures, Method,

  • Organising the Strategy for Change, or the Business Strategy.

Training Approach:

The best way to learn is to have a social experience and put it into practice. We maximise the social interactions during the training modules, using collaborative exercises and "back-of-the-room" techniques. 

We also arrange regular reflections with mentoring and mastermind calls to encourage putting the learning into practice and stimulate peer sharing/learning.

Training format:

The training is adapted to your needs from the available modules and the additional mentoring support. 

The training may be run virtually, preferably using a cohort format, alternating training sessions and reflection circles about putting the learning into practice. 

We can also offer this training as accelerated learning (virtual or in-person) followed by a series of reflection circles run virtually.
