Meaningful Coaching

Supervision is a well-established practice in coaching. Because coaching is a reflective practice, coaches perfect their skills by being coached.

Working in change is equally reflective, and change leaders, practitioners, and coaches need to balance their approaches to change and their stances with their teams and clients. Supervision helps you perfect your approach and develop your personal style.

Henko offers a specialised supervision service with a focus on business change.

Who is this service for?

  • Professional coaches working in change or looking to work in change,

  • Agile coaches and scrum masters,

  • Change and transformation professionals,

  • Agile delivery managers,

  • ART Leaders, RTEs,

  • etc.

Why engage in one-to-one supervision?

Developing knowledge and developing practice are different things.

During the Agile wave, we have seen the danger of confusing those. A training and certification industry does not make for effective practice. Accumulating knowledge is a complete waste if it is not to be adopted and implemented.

Supervision stimulates the reflective process and focuses on practical application to develop mastery.

One-to-one supervision also offers the benefit of the intimacy of a coaching relationship allowing to deepen the reflection on deeper personal challenges and edges. And from a practical point of view, you decide when to book the sessions in accordance with your diary rather than align to a group schedule, which might work better for busy professionals.

Learning outcomes

Improve your change leadership - Your competencies only matter when they materialise into skilled action. We shift the focus from theory to pragmatic application, using real-world reflections to develop true mastery.

Improve your stance as a coach, change-maker, or leader - Develop a stronger awareness of how you come across and adjust your style to improve your impact in your role.

Improve change performance - Because we work from your real-life situations, you will find new pathways to change performance and success as part of this process.

Supervision focus

The first session of the series is to determine your supervision focus.

The focus can be completely tailored to your situation.

Alternatively, we can theme the supervision with an aspect of the System for Continuous Change:

  • Change maker for Flow,

  • Change maker for LeanTech excellence,

  • Change maker for systemic collaboration,

  • Change maker for strategic leadership.

One essential requisite is that the focus must align with a real-world change situation that you are working on so we can stimulate practical reflection and you take action.

Schedule of the sessions

  • Session 1 - Establish your landscape, evoke awareness, review your working situation and determine the supervision focus,

  • Sessions 2 to 5 - Unfold situations in relation to your supervision focus and create reflection, learning, next actions,

  • Note - When choosing one of the System for Continuous Change theme, each session will look at a specific aspect of the topic and bring an education point around which the reflection will articulate,

  • Session 6 - When signing up for only six session, this session is used to reflect on the overall journey, assess and anchor the new awareness into your change practice. When signing up for a ten-session programme, the sixth session is used as a check-in on the agenda to adapt the programme if necessary,

  • Sessions 7 to 10 - For people signing up to ten-session programmes, the second part of the programme deepens the exploration, or repositions based on the discussions at the sixth session. The tenth session is used as a reflection over the entire programme.

Logistics

The programmes run virtually from our Platform for Continuous Change. They will use Zoom, MS Team or browser-based video.

The platform allows you to access our diary and reserve sessions. It also allows for direct communication and file exchange and contains all the information in one place.
