Code of Conduct
(Henko, LeanTech Circles & Community Spaces)
Updated : 5th of February 2026

This applies to:
• forums and online community spaces
• virtual meetups
• in-person events organised or hosted by Henko
• any associated channels or discussions
Code of Conduct
Henko community spaces are learning environments inspired by Lean thinking.
Participation is grounded in three core principles:
-
Go See (Gemba)
-
Ask Questions (Curiosity)
-
Respect People
This Code exists to protect those principles.
1. Go See (Gemba)
We value learning from reality, not theory alone.
This means:
• engaging with lived experience
• sharing observations, not assumptions
• staying grounded in practice
We discourage:
• abstract posturing
• performative expertise
• dominating discussions without context
2. Ask Questions (Curiosity)
Curiosity comes before judgement.
We expect participants to:
• ask genuine, open questions
• explore different perspectives
• challenge ideas constructively
We do not tolerate:
• aggressive questioning
• rhetorical or leading questions designed to undermine
• “gotcha” behaviour
3. Respect People
Respect is non-negotiable.
This includes:
• treating all participants with dignity
• respecting different backgrounds, roles, and experiences
• allowing space for others to contribute
The following are not acceptable:
• harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks
• dismissive or demeaning language
• repeated self-promotion or sales activity in community spaces
4. Commercial Behaviour
LeanTech Circles and Henko community spaces are not sales forums.
• Sharing experience is welcome
• Pitching services without invitation is not
• Sponsors or partners must clearly identify themselves
5. Confidentiality and Trust
Some discussions may involve sensitive professional experiences.
Participants should:
• respect confidentiality
• avoid sharing identifiable information without permission
• not quote or reuse discussions outside the community without consent
6. Moderation and Enforcement
Henko reserves the right to:
• moderate discussions
• remove content
• issue warnings
• suspend or remove access
This will be done proportionately and with the health of the community in mind.
7. Raising Concerns
If you experience or observe behaviour that breaches this Code:
• contact the Henko team directly
• concerns will be handled discreetly and respectfully
Closing note
Lean communities work when people feel safe to:
• observe reality
• ask honest questions
• learn together
This Code exists to protect that space.
