Service Description
This service focuses on bringing activities to make strategy a continuous collaborative process. The service is organised around two key activities, which may be combined or deployed independently. Continuous strategic mapping: - This service creates serendipitous ideas in the strategy. - We identify diverse teams who will meet fortnightly to discuss strategy. The focus of their discussion may be guided by an ask for research or self-guided by what they see, - Their discussions are live mapped using Wardley Maps. People do not need a prior understanding of Wardley Maps as they will understand them through practice, - The team periodically summarises its findings, which are presented at strategy refresh events for consideration in deployment. How do the new findings challenge priorities? What new hypothesis should be tested? - We facilitate the cadence of the meetings and support the Live mapping. We also apply the patterns of mapping to highlight constraints and strategic plays. Strategy refresh events: - We work with you to establish strategy consolidation points in the business (often aligned to teams or business units), - We facilitate strategy refresh events that will review the progress of strategies in play, whether they are delivering to the business case and what to re-prioritise in light of what is emerging from the market and the insight of the continuous mapping, - We use the xMatrix for all the teams to capture their strategy and contribute to the joint strategy. The collaboration during strategy refreshes focuses on a joint higher level xMatrix, ensuring coherence, to which the team can then self-actuate their respective strategies, - We help you develop and facilitate the operating model of making strategy continuous, from facilitating the continuous mapping, preparing the refreshes, running the refresh events and keeping track of the strategic plans, - We can also deploy a strategy visualisation tool to offer dashboards ('Obeya') of the overall strategy deployment. Cancellation Policy
This booking is to establish the basis for the engagement of interest. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your needs and the suitability of the engagement. We will then produce a quote to proceed with the engagement. We will also schedule the engagement based on availability. This is especially important for multi-day engagements (e.g., strategy off-site, change increment design, etc.) or those that must be on a specific day (e.g., presentations). Best to talk early to avoid disappointment.
