LeanTech leadership coaching
Specialist coaching of senior roles to LeanTech and Kaizen leadership competencies
Service Description
Service and digital organisations often struggle with quality approaches, and they are caught in a downward spiral. Technical and operational debt means that less and less gets done, and trying to contain costs by outsourcing and offshoring does not solve the fundamental structural waste and often worsens those. It is hard to believe that AI, which currently attracts corporate investments, will do much better in supporting productivity and performance. LeanTech leadership involves being a change leader with a strong focus on operational excellence. It is not so much about having the answers as it is about bringing everybody's attention to excellence in every decision, all the time. It is about creating a context for excellence and driving a discipline of high standards that will create mutual accountability. Although knowledge of problem-solving techniques and organising Kaizen activities is important in leadership, it is also essential to establish a leadership context and approach, which can only be practised and developed through experience. LeanTech and Kaizen leadership are best learnt through practice, so we offer a specific version of our 'leadership sparring partner' programmes focusing on LeanTech leadership. Format of the service: - We review the challenges of operational excellence under your leadership, what solutions you tried and the challenges those brought, - We 'go genba' with you and attend several team event sessions (Agile team events, retros, kaizen events if any exist, post-mortems, etc). - We establish an increment (kata) with you and help you progress it, - We'll organise periodic coaching reflections for you to find solutions in your context and improve your leadership experience in the process, - As progress materialises with the initial increment, we help you define the next increment (kata). Please book an initial call to discuss how to on-board this service.
Cancellation Policy
This booking is to establish the basis for the engagement of interest. During this initial meeting, we will discuss your needs and the suitability of the engagement. We will then produce a quote to proceed with the engagement. We will also schedule the engagement based on availability. This is especially important for multi-day engagements (e.g., strategy off-site, change increment design, etc.) or those that must be on a specific day (e.g., presentations). Best to talk early to avoid disappointment.
