Leadership and Collaboration
Leadership challenges in modern organisations
Most leaders have developed their skills in the traditional context of projects and managing tasks. This management style does not work well with Knowledge Workers and the needs of digital to develop initiative and ownership in the teams.
Transformation efforts often focus on (agile) processes and a better delivery, which are not enough. A new balance of relationship is needed between leadership and teams, which can only be coached with professional systemic techniques.
Working in a more systemic way favouring collaboration is still an emergent practice in organisations as much of the operating model is designed around individual leadership taking accountability / responsibility, and not teams. Realigning and co-evolving the skills and practices is a substantial change and coaching challenge.
Henko's unique
approach
We help visualise the relationship model of the organisation and design the operating model to match the need of collaboration, synchronisation or decoupling. Our approach is systemic by default as opposed to the classic consulting RACI (Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed) matrix that tends to isolate roles.
We then offer team coaching and leadership programmes to match the evolution of practices to a multi-level systemic leadership. Our leadership programmes shape the effective leaders & teams of the future and are a stark improvement from the classic leadership education, which often promotes dysfunction.
